The Opportunity
Reporting to SVP, head of RIS Risk Solutions, the VP role plays a critical leadership role in our business. The successful candidate will be highly visible within the organization. The candidate will be responsible for the P&Ls of the well-established COLI and BOLI business and driving profitable growth in alignment with MetLife's New Frontier strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee performance outcomes across growth, retention, earnings, profitability for MetLife's COLI/BOLI business, in partnership with Investment, Finance, Risk, and Client Service functions
- Effectively manage complex client and broker relationships
- Develop and execute business strategy and make decisions to set pricing target and refine / sunset products, that meet both customer demands and shareholders' goals
- Recruit, manage and develop talent for COLI/BOLI business team while setting clear goals, operating rhythm, and accountability for delivery and outcomes
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of insurance industry experience
- 10+ years of progressive people leadership experience, including team management, succession planning and leadership of leaders
- Strong business knowledge of COLI/BOLI products
- Strong knowledge of Statutory, GAAP, and capital frameworks in Life Insurance
- Understands value drivers across the business, including the role of AI - financially, operationally, competitively.
- Bachelor's degree in business, actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, or related discipline
- Professional credentials: FSA, FIA or CFA
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in spearheading innovative strategies in insurance solutions, pricing methodologies, and market expansion.
- Track record of leading strategic transformations, including new product development, portfolio optimization, or risk transfer solutions.
- Strong relationships with banks, insurers, brokers, and regulatory bodies to navigate complex market landscapes effectively.
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $217,500 - $290,000 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
