The Senior Health Consultant will work independently or collaboratively with teams to lead consulting engagements with clients regarding their accident, health and travel programs and negotiate with carriers and vendors to secure coverage for these clients. The senior consultant will develop client strategies, interfacing directly with clients and vendors.

We will count on you to:
- Participates or leads routine client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewal, vendor marketing, brokering contracts and business placement, benchmarking and other projects associated with special risk insurance solutions.
- Evaluation of vendor proposals and underwriting assumptions.
- Provide financial, contract and/or administrative analysis.
- Assist clients with risk identification and advice on solutions that meet their needs.
- Perform data analysis (example includes but is not limited to review claims and utilization data and look for trends and patterns).
- Review internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, external vendor contracts, summary plan documents (SPD's) and employee communications to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements.
- Handles day-to-day client contact/management to resolve project-related questions and challenges.
- Guide junior staff members in client interactions and project deliverables, where applicable.
Senior Health and Benefits Consultants Lead client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewal, business placement, benchmarking, and other studies.
Assists in the development of sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies and drives the creation of tools and solutions to address complex client issues.
Determines the full scope of services provided to clients and sets roles and responsibilities within the client team.
Is accountable for the revenue and profitability of client accounts and projects.
Generates sales by expanding revenue from existing clients and leading prospecting efforts with new clients.
Establishes effective carrier and vendor relationships to serve clients in benefits procurement and administration (eligibility, claims, billing, plan implementation, contracts, plan changes, and necessary amendments).
Provides mentoring and coaching to project team members.
What you need to have:
- BA/BS degree.
- 5+ years' experience in identifying, designing, recommending and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex health care benefits challenges.
- Renowned expertise and industry reputation in the field.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), email, internet research, data entry, file management, SharePoint, Teams/Zoom, and general familiarity with Windows and web-based applications.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $115,200 to $230,400.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
