What the day will look like
In this role, you'll design, market, and manage complex property insurance programs, playing a central part in identifying exposures, mitigating risk, and ensuring seamless placement and service delivery. You'll bring strong relationships within the market and be poised to expand your presence at the senior level.
- Lead broker on complex insurance programs - Perform strategic assessment, design solutions and negotiate risk transfer products.
- Develop & maintain understanding of analytical/actuarial techniques to design and compare risk transfer/financing plans.
- Effectively plan and lead renewal cycle.
- Establish credibility (knowledge/trust) with both clients and Aon peers (grow extensive internal network)
- Develop technical proficiency demonstrating capabilities to build innovative solutions
- Possess senior executive client communication and negotiation skills (oral & written)
- Effectively communicate market/industry perspectives and applications to specific client situation.
- Maintain & grow current book of business.
- Participate in RFP responses.
- Ensure operational excellence including adherence to service management requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of Aon's scope of resources and capabilities to promote interdependency and enhanced client services.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Minimum 10-15+ years of relevant insurance P&C business experience
- Proven knowledge of Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability, and coverages.
- Effective solid understanding of carrier underwriting practices & processes.
- Validated leadership skills in working with teams and ability to work with clients and to effectively exceed client expectations.
- Confirmed client facing skills including effective presentations & communications.
- Proven organization and ability to work with others.
- Experience in resource deployment and utilization management.
- Successfully operates in a fast-paced driven environment that requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels.
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, exceptional organizational skills, ability to make and communicate difficult decisions.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of proven experience.
- Must have the willingness to obtain an active Property and Casualty license within 120 days of hire.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $250,000- $275,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
A summary of all the benefits offered for this position:

This role does not accrue vacation. Rather, this role is eligible to take paid time off at the discretion of the employee and management in accordance with company policy and practices. Various other types of leaves of absence; paid sick leave as provided under state and local paid sick leave laws, short-term disability and optional long-term disability, health savings account, health care and dependent care reimbursement accounts, employee and dependent life insurance and supplemental life and AD&D insurance; optional personal insurance policies, adoption assistance, tuition assistance, commuter benefits, and an employee assistance p rogram that includes free counseling sessions. Eligibility for benefits is governed by the applicable plan documents and policies.
