This position reports to the Manager, Claims Planning & Analysis (CP&A). As the Financial Analyst, you will be accountable for:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards to support financial, claims, and operational performance monitoring
- Transform raw data into clear, accurate, and actionable insights through visualizations and analysis
- Perform financial and operational analysis to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities
- Support cost-benefit analyses, what-if scenarios, and basic financial models to assess business impacts
- Prepare financial summaries, analysis outputs, and presentation materials for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborate with Claims, Product, and Finance partners to understand business drivers, metrics, and assumptions
- Participate in ad hoc projects, deep dives, and reporting enhancements as required
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and documentation across dashboards and analytical outputs
- Support continuous improvement of reporting, forecasting, and planning processes
- 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, reporting, or related internships/co-op roles
- Exposure to financial services or insurance industry is an asset

- Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable dealing with difficult issues and speaking/presenting in large groups and Senior Management
- An excellent problem solver who is able to see the "big picture" and able to deal with ambiguity with the ability to lead teams to business solutions
- Must be able to analyze complex data with high accuracy, be open minded towards change, able to anticipate client needs and work with others to identify and resolve issues
- Must be Able to coordinate various priorities under time pressure and ensure alignment to corporate objectives
- Must be able to self-initiate and bring forth complex issues to various audiences for business discussion and solution
Computer/Technical skills
- Proficiency in Power BI (dashboard development, data visualization, basic DAX)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables)
- Working knowledge of or willingness to learn SQL and/or SAS
- Comfortable preparing materials in PowerPoint

Compensation
Expected compensation for this role ranges from $ 58,000.00 - 89,350.00 annually. Actual salary offered to successful candidates will vary based on their skills and experience.
