Job Description
This role is responsible for leading the use of data to make decisions. This includes: the development and execution of new machine learning predictive modeling algorithms, the coding/development of tools that use machine learning/predictive modeling to make business decisions, searching for and integrating new data (both internal and external) that improves our modeling and machine learning results (and ultimately our business decisions), and discovery of solutions to business problems that can be solved through the use of machine learning/predictive modeling. This role will also begin to manage projects of small to medium complexity.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve the effectiveness of business decisions through the use of data, statistical analysis, and machine learning/predictive modeling

• Develops and implements advanced time series forecasting models using statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data analysis tools to support short- and long-term business planning

• Identifies and isolates key business drivers, quantifies their impact, and forecasts implications to the business by recognizing how multiple data points interrelate within complex systems

• Reviews, evaluates, and clearly communicates the appropriateness of modeling techniques, assumptions, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure insights are well understood and embedded into business processes

• Applies best practices, with limited coaching, to design, build, validate, and deploy statistical and machine learning models that address business needs, contributing across a wide variety of projects

• Utilizes effective project planning techniques to decompose basic and occasionally moderately complex predictive modeling and/or development initiatives into executable tasks, ensuring timely delivery

• Innovates on projects by exploring and applying new modeling approaches, methodologies, or tools to enhance forecast accuracy and business impact

Education
• B. Tech or relevant undergrad degree

Experience
• 2 to 4 or more years of experience (Preferred)

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
