A day in the life.
As our Client Director on the Business Insurance team, you'll be responsible for the overall strategic results on assigned accounts, as well as the strategic coordination of client marketing and servicing. Assigned to the largest and most complex clients within the agency, the Director will work closely with producers and clients to develop effective commercial programs. This role is responsible for retention and expansion of an assigned book of business and participation in the procurement of new business. This is accomplished through proactive client service, managing renewals/marketing, and business development initiatives.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required; college degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience working in customer service, underwriting, commercial lines insurance for a carrier or broker preferred
- Experience establishing strategy and direction for commercial programs
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects while ensuring timely and accurate client deliverables, with effective problem-solving and resolution skills
- Strong understanding of insurance company markets, binding authority, and underwriting guidelines preferred
- Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to establish relationships at all levels
- Excellent client relationship building and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications required
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and communicate effectively
- Flexibility and creativity in developing innovative and customized insurance solutions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to negotiate quotations, evaluate client needs, and develop innovative business solutions
- Experience negotiating quotations with underwriters and evaluating client needs
- Knowledge of technical underwriting and extensive knowledge of commercial industry laws, products, coverages, and markets
- Self-starter with good time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- Advanced designations such as CIC, CRM and AAI preferred
- Property/Casualty license or ability to attain is required
