Winter Group Incorporated is a Wholesale Insurance Agency. In 2005 WGI became a Managing General Agency for the trucking and transportation industry specifically for Intermodal and NAFTA Programs. Phillip R. Winter, Sr, formed the company in 1997, and developed many of the current core strategies to provide transportation insurance services to agents throughout the country.
Highlighting all strategies is a demand for excellent and responsive customer service. Winter Group, Inc. (WGI), is a “C” Corporation, incorporated in the state of California and is currently headquartered in San Diego, CA.
WGI has an experienced management team who bring to Winter Group a variety of backgrounds to include military, business management, and transportation insurance. Everyone at WGI shares a unified drive for excellence and focus on customer service.
WGI represents approximately 250 brokers in numerous states with the majority being in the West.
