A day in the life.
As our Director, Human Resources on the Human Resources team, you'll lead the Human Resources function for the St. Louis, MO and Overland Park, KS offices within a matrix organizational structure. As part of the Upper Midwest Region HR team, this role executes on goals and objectives for local initiatives including recruitment and staffing, compensation, compliance, employee relations, and training and development. This role is also be a member of the local leadership team.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with the Regional HR leadership team to develop and execute strategies that attract, develop and retain top talent at MMA.
Ensure HR practices comply with federal and state regulations, applying best practices to reduce company risk.
Partner with local leadership to identify priorities aligned with agency strategy.
Provide coaching and guidance to leadership and management on colleague related topics
Oversee the design and implementation of compensation and career path programs
Support local performance management by facilitating feedback, development, and ongoing coaching.
Lead and manage the local Human Resources team to deliver best in class HR services.
Our future colleague.
Human Resources leadership experience and 7 years generalist experience working in a professional services setting preferred; including strong knowledge of HR employment law, policies/practices, recruiting and benefits
Bachelor's degree in related field required
Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills
Good interpersonal skills and high sense of urgency; experience in a sales organization preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication
Prior success and experience in managing change in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers
Ability to travel to assigned locations as needed
Proficiency in MS office applications required
PHR or SPHR preferred
