About Us
Stratos Risk is the wholesale E&S arm of Renegade Insurance. We're building a specialty MGA with captive retail submission flow, an acquired book, and a carrier panel already in place. Unlike incumbent wholesalers, our parent does not compete with retail agents.
The Role
Own a specialty vertical from day one — coastal/CAT property, trucking & transportation, construction, hospitality, or another E&S line matching your expertise. Quote and bind within delegated authority, manage carrier relationships, serve retail and wholesale broker submission flow, and build the underwriting playbook as we scale. Clear path to Vertical Lead as your book grows.
Requirements
Requirements
5+ years E&S/surplus lines underwriting experience in one or more specialty verticals
Binding authority or open-market E&S experience; strong grasp of risk selection, rate adequacy, and capacity management
Established E&S carrier relationships and a strong reputation with retail agents and wholesale brokers
Active P&C / surplus lines license (or ability to obtain quickly)
Entrepreneurial: fast decisions, builds process from scratch
Base pay plus commission splits on business you bind.
