Analyst - Finance / Capital Markets Location: [NY, NY]

We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst (0-2 years of experience) with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a demonstrated interest in finance. The ideal candidate will bring prior exposure to investment banking, debt/equity capital markets, syndicate, sales & trading, or reinsurance through a full-time role or internship, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
Support senior team members in financial analysis, transaction execution, and ongoing client deliverables
Build, maintain, and audit detailed financial models in Excel to support decision-making and risk/return analysis
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on companies, portfolios, and/or transactions (e.g., financial statement analysis, benchmarking, market research)
Prepare clear, well-organized presentation materials, reports, and memoranda for internal and external stakeholders
Assist in the preparation of pitch books, client proposals, and transaction marketing materials
Analyze market data, pricing, and transaction structures across relevant asset classes and sectors
Coordinate data collection and information requests with internal teams and external counterparties
Ensure accuracy and consistency of all work products, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies
Help manage project timelines, deliverable tracking, and documentation to keep workstreams on schedule
Contribute to ad hoc analyses and special projects as business needs evolve
Qualifications Education
Bachelor's degree from a top-30 accredited university, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
Strong academic performance with evidence of rigorous coursework
Experience
0-2 years of relevant work experience
Prior experience (full-time or internship) in at least one of the following areas:
Investment Banking
Debt/Equity Capital Markets
Syndicate
Sales & Trading
Reinsurance
Skills and Competencies Analytical & Quantitative Skills:
Proficiency in PowerPoint; ability to build clear, concise presentations
Familiarity with financial databases and market data tools is a plus (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P Capital IQ)
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $100,000 - $115,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
