Description and RequirementsThe team you will join:
Integration Platform Engineering team facilitates and supports essential integration technologies, including IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Message Queue (IMQ), API Connect, and App Connect Professional, to empower MetLife's innovative business solutions.
The Opportunity:
The Senior Integration Platform Engineer research new technologies to enhance middleware integration, aiming to improve cost effectiveness and flexibility. This role involves designing and implementing complex global integration solutions enabling workload mobility. This is an exciting opportunity to join us onboard, leading solutions and technologies.
Success in this role requires a highly motivated individual with a visionary approach to technology and ambitious desire to elevate Developer experience. The Senior Integration Platform Engineer is tasked with promoting and utilizing automation to design and support configuration management, orchestration, and maintenance of the integration platforms. Collaboration with application developers, architects, and engineers is crucial in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is valued.
How You'll help US Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Lead configuring and designing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Creating and implementing self-service automations.
- Coordinate Integration Platforms upgrades & fix packs installations.
- Oversee platforms vulnerability remediation.
- Develop solutions to onboard new applications including automations to reduce manual tasks.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of direct technical experience in infrastructure architecture
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Design and implementation best practices and hands-on administrative experience with IBM MQ (Message Queue) or ACE (App Connect Enterprise).
- 3+ years' developing solutions to automate configuration management, orchestration, and maintenance of infrastructure platforms.
- 2+ years' experience in the planning, implementation, support, and management of Cloud solutions and technologies.
- Accomplished, highly motivated, and results-driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability or prior experience to influence in a technical leadership capacity, ability to think strategically, and effectively communicate solutions to various levels of management.
- Ample experience with scripting and automation.
- Experience with DevOps processes and key components.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
Preferred Skills
- Hands on experience with two or all the following preferred: Cloud Paks for Integration, MQ, App Connect Enterprise, API Connect platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred.
- Experience with open-source integration technologies is a plus.
- Experience with modern technologies such as OpenShift, Ansible, Cloud/Azure.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, AIX, zLinux, iSeries, Windows).
- Hands-on experience designing, configuring, and implementing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts (Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Perl, Python, Java, Chef, Ansible).
The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 - $130,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
