Description and RequirementsRole Value Proposition:
MetLife is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the growing focus on speed and discipline to deliver on the New Frontier Strategy and deliver highly impactful and engaging digital experiences for our customers, which will generate strong and enduring relationships aligned with the MetLife brand. This role within the Application Solution team involves managing and delivering Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions.
This role requires experience in implementation of OpenText Content Server, driving technology initiatives, and coordinating with various teams, including vendors.
The candidate will design, build, deploy, and support the critical platforms. They will produce design documents and code, provide training, co-development, consultation, and reference implementations for development teams. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, product managers, vendors, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate, own and drive technology initiatives that progress the overall engineering foundation along with people, process, and tech dimensions.
- Participate in architecture selection, software design, execution, and operations at the solution level, enabling the business to operationalize the day-to-day functions of the Application/Platform.
- Identify appropriate technology stacks in accordance with Enterprise standards and incorporate them into sound technical designs.
- Design and implement robust CI/CD solutions to enable Agile SDLC within a DevOps context with a focus on scalability and increased pace of delivery.
- Drive significant technology initiatives end to end and across multiple layers of technology.
- Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting, and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience of building and maintaining systems/software for large scale technology operations in windows or/and Linux infrastructure.
- Experience with ECM Products preferably OpenText Content server.
- Experience in designing complex distributed systems, management products or business applications.
- Strong technical background with hands-on system architecture experience.
- Track record of successfully managing shared infrastructure while partnering with multiple stakeholders across different countries.
Preferred:
- Strong background in Elastic Cloud Storage.
- SAFe/Agile Certification.
- Prior working experience in financial services and/or cloud computing domain highly desired.
- Ansible Automaton Platform experience.
- Monitoring environment using Elastic Stack.
The expected salary range for this position is $ 88,100 to $117,500. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
