The Business Analyst / Salesforce Administrator serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, responsible for analyzing business needs, translating requirements into technical and Salesforce solutions, and configuring, supporting, and enhancing enterprise applications. This role combines strong business analysis capabilities with hands-on Salesforce administration and application development expertise to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that improve business processes, data integrity, and user experience across the organization.

To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on- site a minimum of two days a week, with the potential to work three days remotely. Core in office days are Tuesday and Thursday but will be determined by business needs.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Acts as a strategic liaison between business units and IT, developing deep knowledge of business processes, objectives , and stakeholder needs.
- Leads the end-to-end design, development, configuration, and deployment of software applications and Salesforce solutions supporting business and insurance operations.
- Defines system scope and objectives through research and analysis, aligning business requirements with Salesforce and enterprise technology capabilities.
- Translates complex business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements that drive scalable application and Salesforce configurations.
- Drives implementation of new features and enhancements, ensuring seamless system integrations and an optimized user experience with minimal business disruption.
- Partners with cross-functional teams to design and deliver integration solutions that improve data flow, reporting, and interoperability across enterprise systems.
- Leads testing, deployment, maintenance, and ongoing evolution of applications and Salesforce environments, addressing defects, enhancements, and scope changes.
- Provides advanced production support, documentation, process improvement leadership, and-where applicable-mentorship and performance management of team members.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems , Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Application Analyst, Salesforce Administrator, or similar hybrid role.
- Hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including user management, security model (roles, profiles, permission sets), and configuration.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements.
- Proficiency configuring Salesforce features such as custom objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, workflows, approvals, and Flow automation.
- Experience supporting production systems and applications, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201) or Advanced Administrator Certification.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud or other related Salesforce products.
- Experience with system integrations, data migrations, and data quality initiatives.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum project methodologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft CoPilot or other AI tools
- Ability to leverage Salesforce AI capabilities (e.g., Einstein features, predictive insights, and automation) to improve forecasting, personalization, and decision-making. Supports AI-driven use cases such as intelligent case routing, opportunity insights, data enrichment, and automation using flows, prompts, and integrations with AI tools.
- Prior experience in insurance or regulated enterprise environments.
