The Pricing Technician works with minimal support on projects that include but are not limited to rate and rule changes, minor initiatives, data calls, compliance projects, system inquiries and other small projects that are moderately complex in nature. The Pricing Technician will continue to build familiarity with technician processes.
This position requires an alignment with the U.S. core business hours, specifically 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST (Central Standard Time). For candidates located outside the U.S., this translates to 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM GMT. Flexibility of up to one hour in either direction may be considered, based on business needs and candidate availability. Working these hours is essential to ensure real-time collaboration with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders, and to support timely responses to regulatory and business-critical requests.
Key responsibilities
Implement rate/rule changes and other minor initiatives which include drafting system requirement documents, representing the business unit in implementation meetings, contributing to test plans, validating testing and providing SOX sign-off
Coordinating and communicating with product on circulars that span lines of business and other department areas
Requires tracking all circulars and determining what action (delaying/adopting) to take
Responsible for publishing, effective dating, and repository maintenance for PL Product Management and proprietary rate/rule manuals
Create all post-implementation documentation associated with projects, including ensuring that documentation components are completed and included in the Masterfile documentation
Understand the overall project plan for states/regions as well as various product initiatives available to be implemented; develops and shares a recommended project plan with the appropriate manager and state/line manager in order to gain consensus on the final work plan
Determine comprehensive project work plans to coordinate basic to moderately complex requirements of projects across various disciplines
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must be self-directed to work independently and work successfully within a remote team environment
Essential Skills
All applicants must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience using MS Excel, (for data analysis, formulas, pivot tables) and MS Word for documentation
Minimum 1 year experience using Adobe Acrobat for document management
Strong understanding of audit processes and compliance standards (e.g. SOX)
Desirable Skills
Previous experience in a Pricing Technician role
Previous experience in project management including planning, coordinating, and executing projects
Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana or any similar platforms for task tracking and workflow management
