Natural Resources Chief Commercial OfficerAon is a global leader in providing insurance and risk management solutions within the natural resources industry. We design and place innovative risk mitigation, risk capital and alternative finance solutions to protect organizations of all sizes and complexity, empowering them to make better decisions.
This leadership role is responsible for driving the success and growth of our business in the region by expanding revenue through sales leadership, ensuring strong client satisfaction in partnership with the Natural Resources Leader, developing a cohesive and high-performing local leadership team focused on growth, and planning and managing the sales pipeline across Natural Resources.
This is a hybrid role that requires working onsite for 2-3 days a week from a local Aon office.

What the day will look like
- Defines and drives the Natural Resources growth plan prioritizing growth of core businesses and drives and supports execution of growth priorities, and works with leadership team to deliver results
- Leads on consistent execution of Global Standards; Growth Planning, Articulating Value, Client Feedback, Bid and Pursuit, and Client Outreach
- Together with the Natural Resources Leader defines and leads a process to ensure regional growth plans prioritize growth opportunities for Natural Resources clients and prospects that address both market opportunities and unmet client needs
- Partners with Natural Resources Leader and Regional Leadership teams to develop plans, budgets, and targets for in-year and multi-year performance
- Partners with Natural Resources Leader and finance to prepare and deliver QBRs and drives the annual growth planning cycle, bringing to bear guidelines from across sub-regions and Product / Industry leaders to deploy across the U.S.
- Partners with Growth Operations to identify and assess market opportunities, path to growth, and core ops to drive growth - include all the elements needed to make sub-sector teams successful and drive growth
- Leads the team in managing and winning RFPs both offensive and defensive
- Partners with Marketing to develop and understand industry aligned thematic client needs to drive marketing and sales, ensuring activity is prioritized according to agreed US revenue generating opportunities and quality standards
- Partners with Innovation Group to identify and prioritize opportunities for ground-breaking business growth
- In partnership with the Natural Resources Leader, defines the requirements for the shared aspects of the operating model to ensure key client teams are receiving the appropriate level of service and support

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Required Natural Resources Insurance knowledge within a brokerage/carrier or equivalent experience
- 10+ years proven experience in a leadership role within the Natural Resources industry, with a track record of driving financial performance and operational success.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional talent management skills within multiple locations, including recruiting, performance management, and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong client-facing and relationship management abilities, with a focus on long-term partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives and manage growth effectively.
- Knowledge of Natural Resources industry trends, challenges, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $375,000 to $425,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
A summary of all the benefits offered for this position:

Eligibility for benefits is governed by the applicable plan documents and policies.
