Description and RequirementsThe Team You Will Join
The Integration Platform Engineering team at MetLife enables and supports essential integration technologies such as IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Message Queue (IMQ), API Connect, and App Connect Professional. The team's mission is to empower MetLife's innovative business solutions by delivering reliable, scalable, and advanced integration services.
The Opportunity
As Manager of Integration Platforms, you will lead a dynamic team, overseeing the implementation and management of critical messaging infrastructure. This role involves researching new technologies to enhance middleware integration, with the goal of improving cost effectiveness and flexibility. You will design and implement complex global integration solutions that promote workload mobility across the enterprise. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with leading solutions and technologies as MetLife continues to innovate.
Success in this role requires a highly motivated individual with a visionary approach to technology and a strong desire to elevate the developer's experience. The Manager will champion automation, designing and supporting configuration management, orchestration, and maintenance of integration platforms. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with application developers, architects, and engineers in an inclusive environment that values every contribution and perspective.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Lead the migration process and onboarding of new applications into CP4I, including automation to reduce manual tasks and increase efficiency.
- Lead onshore and offshore team and build internal expertise, promote knowledge transfer and foster a culture of innovation.
- Coordinate integration platform upgrades and fix pack installations, and proper communication with our partners to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Oversee vulnerability remediation across supported platforms.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- 5+ years of direct technical experience in infrastructure architecture.
- 3+ years developing solutions to automate configuration management, orchestration, and maintenance of infrastructure platforms.
- 2+ years' experience in planning, implementation, support, and management of cloud solutions and technologies.
- Highly motivated, accomplished, and result-driven; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Technical leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively communicate solutions to various levels of management.
- Ample experience with scripting and automation tools.
- Experience with DevOps processes and key components.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with open-source integration technologies.
- Design and implementation best practices and hands-on administrative experience with IBM MQ (Message Queue) or ACE (App Connect Enterprise).
- Experience managing teams and technologies within integration and/or Cloud technologies (ex: Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with modern technologies such as OpenShift, Cloud/Azure, and Ansible.
- Knowledge of operating systems including Linux, Windows, AIX, and iSeries.
- Hands-on experience designing, configuring, and implementing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts (Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Perl, Python, Java, Ansible).
This role is ideal for a technology leader who is passionate about integration platforms, automation, and driving innovative solutions in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
