Real Estate / Facilities (REF) provides support for office needs including leasing, space planning, rent payment, construction, property management, and furniture and move coordination. REF's Property Management team is looking for a Maintenance Technician. This individual will work full-time out of the downtown Cincinnati office.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems.
- Responds promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoots issues in office spaces, common areas, and building systems.
- Maintains and repairs office furniture, fixtures, and minor structural components.
- Provides grounds maintenance support, including removal of snow and ice.
- Coordinates with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
- Ensures compliance with company and regulatory safety programs.
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Supports emergency response protocols and assist with disaster recovery efforts when needed.
- Assists with office moves, furniture setups, and workspace reconfigurations.
- May provide janitorial support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Generally, a minimum of 1 year of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Maintains working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Essential job functions must be performed onsite.
- Requires continuous and prolonged walking and standing.
- Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of objects up to 50 lbs.
- Requires frequent climbing, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and crawling.
- Requires overhead reaching and grabbing.
- Requires regular and predictable attendance (may be required to work in a physical office location).
- Requires ability to conduct visual inspections.
- Requires work outdoors, in inclement weather conditions.
- May require ability to operate a motor vehicle.
