Licensed Insurance Producer (Property & Casualty)
Birmingham/Trussville, Alabama

Position Summary
Wiggins Insurance Agency is seeking a motivated and results-driven Licensed Insurance Producer to join our growing independent agency. This role is responsible for generating new business, advising clients on risk management, and binding personal and commercial insurance policies.

As an independent agency, we provide access to multiple carriers, allowing our producers to offer tailored solutions while delivering a high level of client service.

 
Key Responsibilities
Generate and develop new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and prospecting
Quote, present, and bind property & casualty insurance policies (personal and commercial lines)
Utilize agency management systems and raters (e.g., EZLynx) to provide accurate quotes
Advise clients from a risk management perspective, ensuring appropriate coverage selections
Maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and underwriters
Follow up on leads, quotes, and renewals to maximize retention and close ratios
Ensure all required documentation and signatures are completed (admin support provided)
Stay current on Alabama insurance laws, products, and carrier guidelines
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly production goals
 
Qualifications
Active Alabama Property & Casualty Insurance License (required)
1+ years of insurance sales experience preferred (personal lines, commercial, or both)
Strong sales, communication, and relationship-building skills
Ability to explain coverage clearly and confidently to clients
Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset
Comfortable using CRM systems, raters, and quoting platforms
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
