The Opportunity
This position is responsible for designing and implementing application platform solutions, with an initial focus on Customer Communication Management (CCM) platforms. The engineer manages automation and cloud projects within Platform Engineering and develops cross-functional skills.
Success requires strong infrastructure knowledge, advanced problem-solving, leadership, and effective collaboration with teams and vendors. A commitment to continuous learning and automation is vital for streamlining requests, configurations, installations, deployments, and monitoring.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Lead technology vision, partnering with engineering to plan, architect, design, and support application platforms and infrastructure systems.
- Develop technical designs and integration solutions, advancing technology initiatives with engineering and application teams.
- Oversee automation development and deployment, ensuring adherence to best practices and troubleshooting issues.
- Manage configuration, maintenance and operations support of Customer Communication Platforms.
- Create sound technical designs and complex integration solutions by collaborating with engineers and application teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to select appropriate technology stacks aligned with enterprise standards and strategic goals.
Required Skills:
- Over 8 years of experience with designing, architecting, deploying, and maintaining complex enterprise platform solutions on diverse application servers and web technologies.
- Expertise in planning, engineering, and supporting application platforms and infrastructure systems, with a strong focus on promoting best practices, standardization, and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Experience in promoting automation and enhancing process efficiency through the utilization of tools and scripting languages such as Ansible, Linux shell scripting, or PowerShell for configuration management, orchestration, and platform maintenance.
- Demonstrated skills in planning and executing operating systems, software, and application platform upgrades, with attention to vulnerability remediation and system security.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis abilities to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Customer Communication Management (CCM) and Document Generation platforms, including Quadient, xPression, and Documaker.
- Understanding of AI/ML-driven solutions for automating monitoring, detection, and resolution of infrastructure and platform anomalies.
- Experience as a team leader and/or working with onshore/offshore teams.
- Experience with containerizing applications and deploying them on OpenShift.
- Red Hat certification: Linux Administration or Ansible.
The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $137,700. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
