Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Alternative Investments team at Mercer. This role will be based in Atlanta, GA; Richmond, VA; St Louis, MO; Rancho Cordova, CA; Boston, MA; and Los Angeles, CA. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.Investment Operations Analyst at Mercer supports investment monitoring and reporting for alternative asset funds, analyzing financial statements, reconciling cash flows, and preparing performance reports to assist client advisory services. This role involves working closely with a team of experienced professionals focused on private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure investments.
We will count on you to:
- Analyze financial statements prepared by fund managers, which includes the compilation of funds and underlying portfolio company performance
- Record and reconcile cash flows arising from the underlying investments
- Develop a strong working rapport with colleagues in the client advisory and client reporting groups
- Assist in the integration of AI and other data capture tools into Mercer's process
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, similar discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Detail-process orientation
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work both independently, and as a member of a team
- Understanding of financial statements
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite
- At least 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Prior experience in private equity space
- Candidates with an MBA, Master's in Finance, or professional certifications (CFA, CPA, CAIA) are a plus

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $46,800 to $93,600.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
