Allstate's Multi-Asset group manages an active asset allocation process across Allstate's $70 billion portfolio. The process incorporates collaborating with internal public and private investment teams as well as leveraging external investment opportunities. The capital allocation process has been a key ingredient to Allstate's investment success and active portfolio management has been recognized externally relative to our competitors.
Intermediate Analyst role in the Multi-Asset group involves working closely with the team to implement and enhance Investments' strategic and tactical asset allocation process through fundamental and quantitative analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with enhancing Investments' strategic and tactical asset allocation process, including quantitative and qualitative frameworks, cross asset market monitors and economic regime signals. Efforts will span equities, fixed income, alternatives, derivative overlay and regional allocations across a variety of asset classes
- Evaluate internal and external active risk opportunities to further enhance risk adjusted returns of the portfolio versus the Enterprise strategic asset allocation
- Conduct independent research to further analysis and improve decision making
- Support development of tactical asset allocation trade thesis trackers to drive and improve decision making process
- Create weekly and quarterly presentations for our Capital Allocation Forum meetings
- Work closely with the Portfolio Management Group (PMG) to understand client specific mandates to support portfolio strategies and solutions
- Support the investment culture of the team. Contribute best practices and lessons learned to the broader team's portfolio construction efforts
- Role reports to Head of Multi-Asset
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ year experience within finance industry; Quantitative experience in Fixed Income, Equity or Multi-asset investing preferred
- CFA designation or candidacy a plus
- This job does not have supervisory duties.
- No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.
- Solid understanding of fixed income and equity asset classes, portfolio construction, and economic cycles,
- Strong quantitative skills, proficient in modeling,
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, Bloomberg
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a reliable team player, build trust and confidence through collaboration with a wide range of internal and external colleagues,
- Ability to work independently; efficiently prioritize workstreams,
- Strong work ethic and communication skills

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $98,000.00 - 134,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
