A day in the life.
As our Senior Education Specialist on the McGriff team, you'll create, source, and administer training and development opportunities for retail insurance teammates across the firm. Your purpose is to provide development opportunities to teammates and enhance our ability to provide the highest level of expertise and service to clients in the most efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop curricula based on current and future needs.
- Create training material for corresponding communication platform.
- Facilitate training for teammates, including new hire onboarding.
- Research and recommend industry specific learning opportunities from third parties.
- Maintain training related reference documents, including procedures manuals, systems reference guides, and workflow documentation.
- Remain abreast of contemporary concepts in the development of new training and delivery methodologies.
- Serve as subject matter expert for questions related to systems, procedures, workflows, and training resources.
- Build and maintain relationships across business units, insurance carriers, outsourcing partners, and third-party continuing education providers.
- Collaborate and lead projects to implement and train new/enhanced product opportunities.
- Coach and mentor department teammates.
- T ravel to provide in-person training.
We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
- Five years of experience within the insurance industry
- Highly effective communication and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated proficiency of basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Product Suite
- Proven ability to act with responsiveness, urgency and professionalism in all matters while prioritizing responsibilities and proactively accomplishing goals
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- T ravel to provide in-person training 25-30%.
- Experience facilitating training
- Knowledge of insurance specific systems and applications
