Housing Coordinator
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide carrier support by assisting payments department and management with identifying carrier issues/concerns. Acts as the liaison between carriers and Property Repair Solutions internal payment team to research, review and resolve issues for carrier related requests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as liaison for payment-related concerns between carriers and Property Repair Solutions internal payment team.
- Assists with research, review and resolution of carrier issues/concerns.
Communicates and coordinates resolution to all relevant parties. - Assist payment team and other participants with following procedures and practices to avoid future question or delays in funding process
- Works with contractors to provide accurate documentation required by carriers in an effort to improve and expedite funding process.
- Researches and addresses IT issues affecting Carrier funding process.
- Interacts frequently with various departments within the organization, as well as carrier adjusters, carrier supervisors and outside contractors.
- Maintains effective relationships with insurance carriers as well as across multiple lines of business and assists with reporting needs.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization's quality program(s).
- Travels as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience
Four (4) years of experience in claims processing or related business experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Insurance or finance industry experience preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
- Working knowledge of billing and reconciliation systems, claim systems, financial services, and insurance products
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Excellent analytical and interpretive skills, including efficient use of MS Excel
- Excellent problem solving and resolution skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $16-$17/hr.
