Description
We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Financial Analyst II in our Chicago office. This position will provide Financial Planning & Analysis support to markets in the U.S. Midwest Region for Aon's Commercial Risk & Health businesses. This role will aid budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting with the goal of providing actionable business insights to help leaders make better informed decisions. Additionally, this position offers the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from various functional areas including Sales, Operations, and Accounting.Aon is in the business of better decisions

What the day will look like
- Prepare, analyze, and report on financial results; focusing on the key drivers behind performance.
- Partner with business leaders by providing actionable insights as well as trends and help formulate strategies to drive improved financial results.
- Perform in-depth reviews and evaluations of monthly actual financial performance against budget and prior year.
- Gather data from financial databases and business teams to create monthly and annual revenue and expense projections.
- Assist with the annual budgeting processes, including data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate across the team, including offshore finance resources.
- Respond to internal ad-hoc requests as assigned.
Skills and experience that will lead to succes
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience desired
- FP&A experience (Forecasting, Planning and Analysis) is required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience presenting financials to management
- Critical thinking and leadership skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Access
- Experience with Workday GL and TM1 a plus

Pay Transparency Laws
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $72,000 - $82,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
