Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth Investment team at Mercer. This role will be based in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, or Denver. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.This is a client-facing Investment Consulting role that will work primarily with Mercer's Endowment and Foundation clients, a focus growth investment practice.
We will count on you to:
- Work with clients' staff, investment committees, and boards to deliver a spectrum of investment advice and solutions.
- Prior experience with Endowment and Foundation clients, preferably higher education clients. Experience with institutional clients will also be considered.
- Leverage your expertise to design, develop, deliver, and communicate investment solutions for clients, inclusive of alternative investments
- Collaborate across internal teams on investment strategy, portfolio management, research, marketing, sales, and consulting practice.
- Mentor junior colleagues in their career development.
- Engage with clients and prospective clients to grow the breadth of services we deliver to help them advance their missions.
- A bachelor's degree preferably in a field relevant to this position
- CFA, CFP, CAIA or advanced degree preferred
- 7 - 15 years of experience related to this position
- A proven history of excellent client service, preferably with endowment and foundation clients.
- Experience presenting complex topics to clients with varying levels of sophistication, across both traditional and alternative investments
- Self-motivation and proven ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment
- Eagerness to learn and keep up to date with the investment industry and market conditions
- Ability and desire to manage, motivate, and mentor junior-level colleagues
- A strong business development orientation, mainly through building and nurturing client relationships, participating in sales finals, and driving expansion opportunities.
- Experience with leading relationships with complex clients,

- Demonstrable communication of both traditional and alternative investments to clients

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $122,400 to $244,800.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
