The Client Risk Lead is the client-facing owner for ProHealth Care's enterprise security risk program. This role designs, executes, and continuously improves governance across policy and controls, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, vendor/third-party risk, incident response, and risk education. The leader drives outcomes through matrixed collaboration with delivery towers and stakeholders and is accountable to the client for SLAs/KPIs and risk posture.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Program leadership & roadmap: Establish the account risk program; define strategy, policies, standards, and a multi-year roadmap aligned to HITRUST, HIPAA, NIST CSF, ISO 27001/27002, and corporate policies
- Risk assessment & mitigation: Lead assessments, quantify/qualify risk, drive remediation to closure; maintain a prioritized, executive-visible risk register
- Governance & compliance: Maintain policy/procedure libraries; manage evidence; support audits/exams; report control effectiveness and compliance posture to executives
- Third-party/vendor risk: Own due diligence, onboarding, and continuous monitoring; enforce contractual security/privacy requirements and corrective actions
- Incident response (risk lead): Direct risk activities during incidents (impact/risk analysis, corrective actions) and lead post-incident reviews and control hardening
- Metrics & reporting: Own risk KRIs/KPIs (assessment cadence, residual-risk trend, audit finding closure, third-party SLA adherence); deliver actionable executive reporting
- Stakeholder & contract alignment: Serve as the primary client contact on risk; align to contractual requirements, benefits tracking, and mitigation plans; escalate material risks

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years risk or security leadership (program ownership, policy/control design, remediation leadership)
- 5+ years regulatory/compliance experience (HIPAA, NIST/ISO) including audit/regulator engagement
- Demonstrated experience running complex managed-services or multi-tower programs (strategy/roadmap, budget/financials, contracts, client management) and influencing distributed teams
- Sound influence, problem-solving, negotiation, and executive communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, MIS, or related field, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA
- Experience coordinating with external auditors and third-party assessors
- Healthcare environment experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
