This position is only open to candidates currently pursuing their associates degree from a community college or trade school. Those currently pursuing their bachelors degree or higher will not be considered for this role.
Early Career Apprentice Program
Want to work in your field and train on the job? Join our 12-24-month apprentice program! You will earn and learn on the job, receive career guidance and mentorship, all while attending school.
The Client Development Apprentice supports efforts that build awareness and interest in the NGLS business unit within a defined business market. The role contributes to content development, LinkedIn activity, web updates, and communication projects that help introduce NGLS capabilities to existing and prospective clients. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how client development and professional communication work in a large, well-established organization .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing outreach activities that help position NGLS within a specific B2B market
- Help maintain a content and activity calendar that supports client development priorities
- Assist with posting on LinkedIn, updating web content, and supporting communication projects
- Create clear, accurate, and engaging content that highlights the strengths of NGLS while bringing forward fresh approaches for reaching potential clients
- Draft short-form messaging and/or longer copy for review by the Client Development leadership team
- Research market trends, industry topics, and competitor activity to support outreach strategies
- Identify relevant third-party articles or resources that can help broaden awareness of NGLS
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure activities support broader company goals
- Use practical audience engagement techniques to improve visibility and interest
- Stay informed about trends in digital communication, B2B outreach, and market visibility
- Coordinate work with the broader corporate communications schedule
- Complete other tasks as assigned
Minimum Skills and Competencies
- Experience using social media or digital tools for school, work, or personal projects
- Basic understanding of business communication principles and audience awareness
- Positive attitude with strong attention to detail and a customer focus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with good organizational skills
- Strong written and visual communication abilities
- Interest in client development and digital communications
- Able to work independently while also collaborating with team members
- Ability to understand and uphold company policies related to social media and communications
Desired Skills
- Ability to create graphics or visual elements that support communication goals
- Comfort working on assignments that involve research, creativity, and project coordination
- Experience with creative and presentation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Express, Illustrator, Acrobat, Stock, Photoshop, Premiere Pro), Canva, or Prezi
- Basic photo or video editing skills
- Interest in or basic knowledge of the insurance or mortgage lending industries
Compensation offered for this role is between $18 and $25 an hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
