Centralized Intake Associate - Property
PRIMARY PURPOSE : Accurately sets up claims in the claims management system by collecting, verifying, and adding essential information received via email or verbal communication. This role serves as a vital link between the client and Sedgwick, ensuring timely and accurate claim initiation, which lays the foundation for excellent service delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews incoming emails to identify and gather necessary claim details.
- Inputs claim information into the system according to organizational protocols.
- Verifies the completeness and accuracy of submitted documents.
- Assigns claims using provided tools, including the "All Clients List" and specialized spreadsheets to identify the appropriate client, apply special instructions, and determine claim-specific coding requirements such as office code.
- Collaborates with relevant parties to gather necessary claim information and ensure accurate setup.
- Maintains quality by accurately following client-specific set-up instructions and ensuring all required data is correctly entered. This includes verifying client information in CTABS and ensuring acknowledgements are sent to the appropriate parties.
- Documents meeting minutes as needed to ensure accurate record-keeping and follow-up.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
Two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Analytical and interpretive skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
