Great American's Trucking Division is a leading provider of insurance products for the long-haul trucking industry and specializes in service to Owner-Operators. Our focus on trucking started in the early 1990s with the development of a trucking Physical Damage policy. Since then, it has evolved to include a complete suite of products and services supporting the independent contractor including Physical Damage, Non-Trucking Liability, Occupational Accident, Contingent Liability, our signature Rig Ready® repair service, Deductible Buyback and TruXpro®, which includes downtime and rental reimbursement.

The Trucking Division is looking for a Captive Program Manager to join our team. This position will work a hybrid schedule out of our downtown, Cincinnati headquarters.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Evaluates and underwrites new and renewal business for captive accounts in accordance with Company underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
- Analyze risk data to determine appropriate coverage, pricing structures, and policy terms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, brokers, and clients to drive new business opportunities and retain profitable accounts.
- Acts as the primary subject matter expert and liaison for all captive-related matters within the division.
- Leverages marketing techniques to interpret, explain, and promote the Company's products to brokers and agents.
- Stay current on regulatory changes, market dynamics, and industry best practices to inform underwriting decisions.
- Prepare and deliver quarterly financial statements for captive insurance partners.
- Collaborate with Reinsurance Accounting to calculate payments and collateral requirements accurately.
- Represent the company at agent visits and industry conferences.
- Coordinate and execute marketing initiatives, including presentations, events, and broker/agent meetings to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in Business, Risk Management, Insurance or a related field.
- Generally, 5+ years of experience in commercial underwriting, captive insurance, or the trucking insurance industry.
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen are required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
