Location Designation: Hybrid - 4 days per weekNYL Investors LLC was formed in October 2013 as a wholly owned subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company with the primary responsibility for managing the fixed income and real estate assets of New York Life and other strategic partners. With over 300 professionals, the organization manages over $300 billion of assets under management, through three investment groups.
Overview of Role:
NYL Investors is seeking a high-performing Senior Associate (PF3) to join the Bank Loan & CLO Operations team. This role is designed for a subject-matter expert (SME) in CLO operations, who brings hands-on experience across the servicing lifecycle and is ready to take on leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with deep operational expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ambition to grow within Investment Services.
The role requires close interaction with Traders, High Yield Analysts, Trustees, Agent Banks, Fund Accounting, Technology partners, and various internal stakeholders. The PF3 will also help mentor junior team members and drive automation and efficiency across systems such as Wall Street Office (WSO), BlackRock Aladdin, and other downstream systems.
What You'll Do:
- CLO Operations subject matter expert overseeing the full servicing of syndicated bank loans-trade capture, lifecycle events and rollovers, security master maintenance, corporate actions, and monthly reporting-across Wall Street Office (WSO) and Aladdin.
- Oversee daily control processes for leveraged loans and CLOs, ensuring accurate cash, position, and trade reconciliations with Trustees and Agent Banks.
- Review and validate monthly trustee CLO Investor reports and compliance data before final approval by the Trading Desk.
- Lead CLO warehouse activities: manage borrowings, pre-close checks, post-close reconciliations, and trustee/system tie-outs.
- Drive process improvements via automation and AI initiatives; define business requirements and collaborate with IT teams.
- Mentor junior staff on CLO mechanics, reconciliations, and operational controls; promote team development and accountability.
- Represent CLO Operations in department-wide initiatives including system upgrades and new product implementations.
What You'll Bring:
- BA/BS in Business Administration / Finance concentration preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in CLO or leveraged loan operations within an investment management firm.
- Proven expertise with CLO reconciliations and Compliance tests /reporting, understanding CLO Indentures, and trustee coordination.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High competence level with Microsoft Office tools required
- Strong Technical and Analytical skills required
- Proficient at documenting procedures, as well as systems specifications and test plans
- Experience with BlackRock's Aladdin, Wall Street Office, and ClearPar is a plus
- Strong leadership qualities with experience leading process initiatives.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
