Aon Is Looking for An Associate Director, Risk AdvisoryAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Risk Advisory service offering within Aon Global Risk Consulting. We provide integrated solutions to help clients understand and improve their risk profile to increase profitability, protect their interests, and provide valuable insights to support decision making. Our services include:
- Climate Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
- Enterprise Risk Management
- Cyber Risk Quantification
- Emerging Risk Assessment
Aon would like to share an exciting opportunity for the role of Associate Director, where the individual will serve as a project leader for Climate Risk Assessment and Due Diligence projects.
This role involves advising our esteemed clients, including private equity firms, pension funds, financial institutions, and data center developers, on the Physical and Transition Risks their portfolios might face.
The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in supporting other colleagues on projects related to emerging risks as well. They will be responsible for presenting report findings to clients, building and nurturing relationships with Aon account executives and producers, preparing and presenting proposals in response to RFPs, and coaching clients on adopting best practices.
We are looking for an authority in risk consulting, including risk assessments and risk management framework development, who has a strong appreciation for broader risk transfer and analytics. The ideal candidate will be someone who can advise clients on sophisticated issues and gain the confidence of both clients and the Aon network.

What the day will look like
- Serve as project leader for Climate Risk Assessment and Due Diligence projects.
- Maintain effective relationships with Aon teams and clients.
- Identify and build relationships with Aon account executives and producers, securing proposal opportunities for risk consulting.
- Ensure that the Aon work product is of high quality, adheres to all relevant AGRC standards of practice and is provided in a timely manner.
- Prepare and present proposals in response to RFP's.
- Handle multiple work assignments, flexibly balancing priorities, to meet or exceed the expectations of our clients.
- Present various reports to clients, lead the discussion toward proper fulfillment of client's needs.
- Anticipate client questions and prepare appropriate responses.
- Assist in the overall team effort for knowledge and best practices to be disseminated throughout the practice.
- Develop a specific area of knowledge and become a recognized subject matter expert.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Minimum 7 years relevant work experience in risk consulting.
- Knowledge of physical climate risk modeling (catastrophe and/or climate models).
- Expertise in data preparation and processing, mapping and visualization (Tableau, PowerBI, ArcMap, QGIS, etc.), and translating outputs into meaningful insights.
- Working knowledge with data manipulation in industry standard statistical platforms, such as R or Python.
- Excellent knowledge of risk consulting methodologies and principles.
- Ability to write complex reports and business correspondence.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and team-oriented approach.
- Commitment to client service and business ethics.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, risk management, or equivalent.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $135,000 to $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
