Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Research team at Mercer. This role will be based in St. Louis. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.Contribute to Mercer's hedge fund efforts with direct support to senior analysts and portfolio managers. Responsible for collecting investment manager data, reporting, and production of client deliverables. This is an entry-level position, and no prior experience is necessary, but advancement opportunities exist for the right candidate with successful contributions and growth over time.
We will count on you to:
- Assist manager researchers in gathering information and date for analysis and maintenance. Collect and record monthly alternative investment manager data into internal database and systems. Ensure accuracy, reliability, and quality of recorded data.
- Provide support to the asset class team in meeting the needs of clients - including analytics, strategic research, etc.
- Assist with department development and maintenance of marketing, client presentations, and RFPs.
- Produce monthly and quarterly client and team reporting deliverables using external software, excel and PowerPoint.
- Provide ad hoc support to consultants in preparing for internal and external research meetings.
- Assists in the preparation for direct client discussions on managers/strategies.
- Attend manager research meetings and/or external conferences, in a support capacity, to help develop technical knowledge and personal career.
- Work on asset class or strategy specific research projects and intellectual capital
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree
- Interest or passion for investing
- Strong work ethic and desire to be a part of a team
- 0-2 years of relevant experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing environment.
