Description
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per weekThis position is a hybrid - Tuesday - Thursday in the NY Office and Monday & Friday work from home.
The CVP of Corporate Travel oversees managing the Company's corporate travel program while offering the safest, most cost effective, most productive, most convenient and most timely travel solutions to all employees world-wide.
What You'll Do:
Successful performance of daily responsibilities in terms of quality, and completeness includes:
- Set strategy and direction for managing New York Life's travel program including managing the corporate travel management company, airlines, hotels, car rental providers and travel safety provider relationships
- Manage corporate aircraft program including contract management, scheduling and reporting
- Achieve cost efficiencies through effective management and negotiation of contracts with travel management companies, airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, and safety service providers, as well as by utilizing strategic communication to promote the use of preferred vendors among corporate travelers
- Manage the Corporate Travel portal on The Square. This includes updating the travel policy, providing safety and security updates whenever necessary, publishing preferred hotel rates and providing information on all aspects of the travel program
- Stay updated on new developments in the travel industry, determine what it means for the travel program and see whether new vendors should be incorporated into the program
- Manage the group strategic meeting program and group meeting planner
- Provide fast and high-quality service to all employees within the Company when the need arises. Work with vendors to maximize service to all employees
- Liaise with other departments to maximize productivity as well as the safety and security features of the program
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements and best practices in travel
What You'll Bring:
- Knowledge of travel vendor contracts, good communicator, excellent interpersonal skills, analytical skills, multitasker, detail oriented, problem solving skills
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a similar role at a corporation or with a travel agency, airline, hotel, car rental company or other travel-related vendor.
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $135,000-$165,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
