We embrace a culture that celebrates diverse backgrounds, heritages, and perspectives.As VP, Actuarial Advisory, you will independently lead the development of sophisticated analyses to evaluate assumptions, premiums, and risk. You will assess industry factors influencing loss liabilities and provide expert reinsurance actuarial consulting to help clients manage and mitigate risk. Acting as a strategic partner to brokers and clients, you will collaborate closely with actuarial and broking teams to align analytics resources, address client needs, and enhance the value of GC Analytics in strengthening client relationships.
VP, Actuarial Advisory
We will count on you to:
- Consult with brokers on client needs and advise on reinsurance programs based on risk tolerance and industry trends to help clients mitigate risk
- Implement complex models and calculations to assess risk and develop pricing and strategies for a range of client risk exposures
- Collaborate closely with actuarial and broking teams to align analytics resources with client and business objectives
- Lead day-to-day project components and make decisions to keep projects moving forward
- ACAS designation with 5-7 years of industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related field
- Experience in pricing, valuation, and/or capital modeling
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Visualization skills using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Coding experience in programming languages such as Alteryx, R, Python, VBA, or SQL
- Comfortable working interactively with brokers and clients
- Strong problem-solving skills
