Currently, Chubb is seeking a Professional Liability Underwriter for the Cleveland, OH office.
The Professional Liability Underwriter in the Cleveland Branch reports to the Regional CSI Manager. Responsible for profitable growth of assigned book of business within the Cleveland territory. Responsibilities include prospecting for new business, underwriting new middle/small market business and middle market renewals. Lines of business include: D&O, EPL, Crime, Fiduciary, K&R, WPV, Small Media and MPL.
Major Job Functions:
Evaluate middle/small market business for coverage eligibility. Accepts, modifies or rejects risks based on a review of business in terms of loss experience and nature of risk in accordance with company/CSI guidlines.
Interprets policy contract language/forms and uses appropriate selection tools to determine eligibility of risk.
Effectively communicates decisions and resolves agent/client concerns promptly.
Maintains underwriting quality standards.
Serves as point person for managing local
retail producer relationships. Leads local marketing campaigns and provides local coordination for new product launches.
Develops/maintains strong relationships and market presence with assigned producers and key accounts.
Assists in educating producers on products, services, automation, and underwriting standards as well as sales and marketing techniques.

Communications: Demonstrated ability to effectively differentiate the Chubb proposal by articulating CSI stragegy, appetite and capabilities.
